definitely a good song on "on a wire" think its about a break up before a weding or something. cool song.
i love the countryish guitar that receeds on this whole album the little piano replacing strong synth is a good change althought some people may not notice it, its matured as well. the drums are also awesome.. cody

This song reminds me of the summer to 2001. This song brings me back to a time when i was so in love with a boy who just wanted to remain my friend.
On A Wire is a really good cd. And this song has to be one of my favorite off the new cd. Its kinda funny I think Saves the Day, The Anniversary, and The Get Up Kids all got together and decided to make completely different sounding songs on their new cds. Because all of them have had such an amazing change in their sound.
the get up kids rule. without a doubt. thier new cd is so great...i hate it how some suposed get up kids fans go around saying things like "oh yeah, thier new album sucks..its nothing like thier older albums..blah blah"..that really gets to me. it you where a true get up kids fan, you'd respect the fact that they're trying out a different sound. or, you could at least use a better choice of words..like.."yeah..the new album isnt really to my liking..i prefer the get up kids' older sound.."..geez...some people. anyway..send me a p.m.! rock n roll-sarah
I don't see how you link this song to a wedding... sounds like a long distance relationship or something like that to me... either way, its the best song off the new album, which is a good album, but not a good GUK album(in my opinion)

it's about waiting for someone to love you, even though you know you probably shouldn't. you knows it's silly and you're probably wasting his time...but at the same time, it's just about impossible to STOP thinking about somebody that you care so much about. and you wait...even though you don't mean to.
It's about this guy, who really likes this girl, but knows that he can't have her. and all he can do is wait for her. He'd telling her how much he would love her "I built an alter for you". And that he really shouldn't wait for her, because he doesn't think it's ever gonna happen, but he wants to because she makes me feel amazing.
