I never really wanted to experience the essence of this song; it's really depressing to "be a friend and be in love this way."
Ok holly shit i was just reading this over again and i think milo just wrote my mind... He is saying he is in love with a girl but dosnt know if she likes him back. He thinks he may be reading the signs wrong and he is just her friend. He is in love with her and she is always in his head but he cant do anything.
this is a great song...why didn't anyone comment on it or any descendent songs for that matter well anyway i really like this song cuz it reminds me of myself and this guy that i really like
Sh!t.... this describes my current state so perfectly. I've been a Descendents fan for a while and I just downloaded and heard the song for the first time. It's really great.
I agree that more people should post comments about descendents, and just plain listen to them more :) ! I think we've all been in love with a friend at least in one point in our lives, Milo's such a great songwriter. I Don't Want To Grow Up's my favorite album
I love this song. I am a descendents fan, big time. I heard this song once, and it described the situation I had with a girl perfectly. Almost every dang word fit into place....it's like Milo Aukerman knew me or something. Heck, even the part at the end, the girls name actually IS karen. That freaked me out a lot. I do not know if she has blue eyes or not.
This is just one reason why I think the Descendents are amazing.
