01 These Are The Days Lyrics
The kids sing out in defiance against a world that has forgotten them
And the media ask, "why are the kids so angry?"
Afterwards they'll go back home,
To their uncaring fathers and misunderstanding mothers
And they'll dream of a time when they're back again,
With all their friends, at another show
Where they will sing, "These are the days...
These are the days we will never forget!"
16, and all alone, searching for a place to call her home
Thinking about a bottle or maybe even worse!
But she passed on self-destruction when she found a better place,
At the show, with the kids, the excitement of change
And singing along with every kid in the crowd,
She breathed in deep and she sang out loud...
"These are the days...These are the days...
These are the days we will never forget!"
He was never called, "cool," No, he never fit in,
'Cause he thought for himself and he went against the trends
But the abuse at school was finally setting in - yeah...
Till the day he found a place to go
With the OTHER PUNK ROCKERS AT THE PUNK ROCK SHOW!
Shoulder to shoulder with his new allies,
He forgot about school as tears came to his eyes...
And he sang "These are the days...These are the days...
These are the days we will never forget!"
Sitting under the corner light, my six string in my hand
Playing my songs all by myself, thinking,
"no one out there could understand!"
But it wasn't too long before I realized I was wrong
And I found myself, singing from a stage,
A chorus of voices singing along...
And we sing...
"These are the days...These are the days...
These are the days we will never forget!".
Yeah we sing...
"These are the days...These are the days...
These are the days we will never forget...we will never forget!"
And the media ask, "why are the kids so angry?"
Afterwards they'll go back home,

I like this song, Justin Sane is good at writing lyrics and getting the point across in song ... his voice is rugid and not quite smoothed over but that's what I love about it ... plus this is a god song just to chill to ... it describes what people feel and tells a story at the same time ...
this song is amazing. justin is my hero
Justin Sane's solo stuff is incredible. This is one of the best written songs I've ever heard.
you have the title wrong its actually "we found a place (these are the days)"
this song is great. justin sane writes amazing lyrics. and his guitar playing is quite catchy as well. this guy is amazing. the end
justin sane is like my fucking idol, him and chris conley of saves the day. i wish more people listned 2 his music. he has a good message and people have to hear it. but i guess most people aren't punk enough to listen to just. but for everyone that likes just. keep fighting, and keep punk alive. peace-love-unity!
I think the meaning of this song is pretty clear. It's about kids and even Justin himself finding a place in the punk scene and a place to belong. I'm sure many kids can relate to this, because for many of us our entry into the punk scene was similar to the stories he tells.
I myself can really relate to the third verse. That one really touches me because it's so close to what i felt.
I want to buy the CD but I'm too poor. I'm sure I could download it and not feel like a scum since the music is more about what's being said than the money.
this song touched me casue i needed shows, and they came...unforunately the scene kinda dissentigrated about a year after i got into it....but i had it for a while
does anyone know where i can buy a copy of this song? I haven't heard it in YEARS and I would really like it, but its not on any site where you can buy music... my screen name on aim is the same as my username here, let me know if you can. Thanks!
