if youve ever been outside really late on a summer night, there is actual fog which covers all things in the distance from your sight, or can cover you from the sight of others. knowing that no one can see you is a comforting feeling within itself, but when youre walking alone late at night, its like the world has gone to sleep and the night is yours. you can do anything.
i think the fog is whatever makes him feel like everything is ok...it culd be a love,drugs,ne thing that takes his mind off of the bad things in his world..good song
i really don't think there is any hidden meaning to this song... he's simply saying that when he is depressed he wishes he could dissapear into the fog, into the night. he is a child of the night, and he wishes he could hide and live forever in darkness.
I have similar feelings and love fog and the nightime. They're just so peacful and inspiring. Nick hates the sun and always sings about the night and moon and such, so yeah...this songs is literaly about the fog.
