It's pretty obvious that "Repetition" really displays the bands feelings of being on the road and becoming a more successful act. I think at this point they had been in the beginning stages of touring heavily, which is obviously what this song reflects. Being on the road, lost in your own mind, tired as fuck, only being stimulated by insipid advertisements with fluorescent lights. I think any hefty night traveler can relate to this one. Truly an American experience.
