I'm Not A Loser Lyrics
Think that I'm a loser
'Cause my pants are really too low
Think that I'm a slob
'Cause I got holes in my shoes
Think my cock is like
I like my dirty shirt
Well you can fuck off
'Cause I'm working sixty a week
You think that life is really tough
When your pappy won't buy
You a brand new car
Take a girl out she won't fuck you
After you just brought her a gram of coke
You spent all your money on shitty coke
I'm not a loser! That's right,
I'm not a loser!
Cruise down the boulevard
Wasting Mommy's gas while you're
Looking for kicks on Friday night
You're only goal in life
Is to smoke a joint
And decide how you're gonna get
Laid tonight
You are a fucking son-of-a-bitch
You arrogant asshole
Your pants are too tight
You fucking homo
You suck, Mr. Buttfuck
You don't belong here
Go away you fucking gay
I'm not a loser!
'Cause my pants are really too low
Think that I'm a slob
'Cause I got holes in my shoes
Think my cock is like
I like my dirty shirt
Well you can fuck off
'Cause I'm working sixty a week
You think that life is really tough
When your pappy won't buy
You a brand new car
Take a girl out she won't fuck you
After you just brought her a gram of coke
You spent all your money on shitty coke
I'm not a loser! That's right,
I'm not a loser!
Cruise down the boulevard
Wasting Mommy's gas while you're
Looking for kicks on Friday night
You're only goal in life
Is to smoke a joint
And decide how you're gonna get
Laid tonight
You are a fucking son-of-a-bitch
You arrogant asshole
Your pants are too tight
You fucking homo
You suck, Mr. Buttfuck
You don't belong here
Go away you fucking gay
I'm not a loser!

To all who think the Descendants were homophobic:
I was in high school in the eighties and know the exact jock types he's talking about. If you wanted to insult one of them, the biggest possible insult would be to say (or even slightly insinuate) that they're gay, because THEY were so homophobic, not the Descendants. Sorry that it happens to be true. That's the way it was in the eighties. So the Descendants yelled it into the mike with as much gusto as they could muster and didn't think about the results. so ZERKUND - THEY ARE NOT AN ANTIGAY, PRO HETERO "SEX" BAND (find some other lyrics of theirs that go in this direction and then I'll be very surprised)
Maybe Descendent have not made homophobic songs after this one. But Bill Stevenson have done Uncle Critic from the All album Pummel:
Maybe Descendent have not made homophobic songs after this one. But Bill Stevenson have done Uncle Critic from the All album Pummel:
"Don´t call me homophobic, I am not afraid of you"
"Don´t call me homophobic, I am not afraid of you"
and from the same album the song Hetro:
and from the same album the song Hetro:
"I never get any chicks, but it beter than a gun or a dick in my mouth Is ther any place to be for a normal straight guy like me?...
"I never get any chicks, but it beter than a gun or a dick in my mouth Is ther any place to be for a normal straight guy like me?...
... Straight, normal, hetro guy...
... Straight, normal, hetro guy...
Maybe I should pierce my butt or get a few tatoos Maybe I should wear a dress and be a homo like you"...
Maybe I should pierce my butt or get a few tatoos Maybe I should wear a dress and be a homo like you"
I think that it sounds Pro Hetro and antigay. Maybe they are not proud of it, but they wrote that stuff anyway.
Here's what Milo has to say about the last part:
"A song like 'I'm Not a Loser' is completely unfiltered. That can come with some negatives too. Frank wrote that and at the time, it was the ultimate teenage rage. It was targeting not gay people but the jocks at our school. The language is the hot button. These days, I've altered that. I want to get across the point of 'you suck,' but it's been misunderstood. We have a few songs that we've come to regret how they've been interpreted."
Well, as someone who is actually gay, I interpreted differently like a giant 'fuck you' to the "arrogant assholes" of privileged rich society. "Your pants are too tight, You fucking homo" to me, are somewhat of a quote from the jocks as to what Milo was wore, looked or acted like. You know? He didn't conform to the mainstream ideals of the time and I identify with this song because shit like "You don't belong here" and "Go away you fucking gay" is something I encountered a lot growing up.
This song is really about him being bullied by the people with (undeserved) money
"You think that life is really tough When your pappy won't buy You a brand new car "
Cruise down the boulevard Wasting Mommy's gas while you're Looking for kicks on Friday night
and they make fun of him with the pants too low and dirty shirt thing, but he's working sixty hours a week just to get what he's got, it's an economical statement, who's the loser the guy busting his ass and getting by happily on his own, or the kids living under their parents safety net and money.
some people missed the point entirely here.
milo's saying that just because a guy works 60 hours a week, has some worn clothing, doesn't go out on friday nights, do drugs and try to get laid, that does not make him a loser. no matter what the "cool", privileged people may think.
i love this song...but to me its like...i AM a loser..but you call me a loser just because im not like you...not being like you isnt what makes me a loser....or something i dont know...nevermind ignore me heh why dont ppl post to damn descendents songs? you all read em and then dont reply! come om its the fuckin descendents!
you arrogant asshole your pants are too tight you fucking homo you suck, mr. buttfuck you don't belong here go away you fucking gay i'm not a loser! ^^^^^^^^ is he refering to himself.. or saying that to someone else?
cool song by the way
he's giving an example of shit people say to him
...awesome song by the way
This song is ok, but I think it is one of the Dexcendent's weaker songs. I agree with the meaning and lyrics in everything, they're all cool, but the song overall isn't that great. And I thing BEERSEXVIOLENCE is definately right about what it's about.
I like the way the words sound kind of out of place with the music. It helps to get the message across.
