Stay Home Lyrics
Don't leave home again
If empathy takes energy
Cause everyone feels just like you
But that's life: it's so social
So physical
So so-so
So emotional
So stay home
If empathy takes energy
Cause everyone feels just like you
So physical
So so-so
So emotional
So stay home

everyone feels just like you.
this song is simple yet so powerful. the long instrumental prelude to the lyrics is perfect. as savemefromtears said, this song means something different to everyone. however, i feel the overall message of this song is that we all need to learn to show a little more compassion for others and stop being so concerned with our inner turmoil -"don't leave home again if empathy takes energy cause everyone feels just like you". life is "so social" and if we can't get past our own pain we'll never have any empathy for those who surround us.
i cant stop listening to this song. even though its like 8 minutes long... you dont even realize it. it just... goes. i cant explain it, i think it means something different to everyone. But to me, it just lets me know that im still alive. Not that i didnt know i was, it just adds a little hope i suppose. That this isnt all thats left. That life doesn't have to be so... conformed.
it's been on repeat all day. this song just gets to me
No comments since 2010... anyway this song became really important to me today. My best friend's dad got diagnosed with terminal cancer yesterday and he still tried to get through a school day. I essentially told him the message of this song.
"Don't leave home again If empathy takes energy Cause everyone feels just like you"
I'm not a crier but damn I came close when I walked home and this came on.
this song is my 2nd favorite AF song (next to summer ends...)
memorizing is the only word to describe this song. i can listen to it and feel so many differen things about life it's amazing. isn't that what it's all about? i appreciate a song like this for all it's worth.
This song is fabulous (you know, like the rapper). The only thing that irks me, however, is that every time I get to this point in the album, I realize that only one song follows before the cd ends. I always become quite sad during the latter minutes of this song...because I know that I'm one instrumental away from the culmination of American Football...
WhiteTide...it's Fabolous if you were referring to the rapper.
It's too bad their lyrics weren't more diverse on the s/t album. But I guess they're amazing nonetheless with beautiful musical backdrops and breezy vocals. I need to buy more of Mike Kinsellas work when I get the money.
god i love how mike can just use the simplest words and it just turns into this amazing piece of musical work that leaves me speechless everytime i listen to this cd.
awesome song..so true.
