For Sure

I'm not going to try and find out the "real" meaning of this song, but it has a very special personal meaning for me. I'll share my story, if you don't mind... this past June (ironically) my very close guy-friend and I admitted we had feelings of more than friends for one another. It was someting we'd both felt for a long time, but had been afraid to confess. Yet, we were extremely unsure and confused. After a lot of discussing, we decided to try dating. I don't think any song's lyrics could be more perfectly fitting. And just the beautiful, placid and almost casual mood the music creates fits so well. In the end, my guy and I realized our feelings were not "for sure," but we've grown to become closer friends. :)

This is my girlfriend and I's song. She burned me a cd with this song on it and when I asked why she said, "we were laying in bed looking into each other's eyes. You hadn't said anything in around 20 minutes and then you just said 'this is what I want'. This was the song that was playing". This song means so much more to me now. I'm thinking about asking this girl to marry me and I keep thinking about these lyrics and what it means to us. It makes me think that we are always looking to the future and though we don't know what will happen, we know that we'll be together.

whenver i hear this song, i picture walking on a morning beach surrounded by mist and salty air, holding a girl's hand.

i think this song is about marriage...they want to be together as soon as possible. apparently they are relatively stable, so they could suppoert themselves,so he thinks june is too late.

This...is....perfect. This and "I'll see you when we're both not so emotional." are my favorites. Hell, scratch that, just about all the songsw are my favorite song. But there's this girl, I can't see again until by 18th birthday(really long story, im me if you really want too know). And my birthday is in May, if I was too wait until June, (which is her birhtday) I'll know that I've already taken too long. But nonetheless, me and her have both had doubts apart of whther or not we'll both be good for eachother when I see her again. And we're both sure that the chance of us working out are about fifty fifty.

Nonetheless, this song is perfect.

i think that mike wrote most of these songs in college.. so june probably means the end of a semester. And he probably talks to her alot but is not sure if they can last until the summer.
