What this song means to me...I think it could be from one friend to another but my view is as if Jesus is talking to him. When He looks into his eyes He sees alot of hate built up. He is pushing Jesus away because of past hurts and feeling down like it won't get better...Thus he throws it all away again. Jesus wants him to find the place deep within his soul that isn't altered by sin and the ways of this world...his inner child, see Matthew 18:03. There is more to this life than he sees if only he would open up his eyes and see the truth but no one can force him to do so he has to want it. Deep inside his mind he's "forced" to think nothing will change..The devil is getting to him and filling his head with lies. So Jesus takes him by the hand and leads him and guides him. Thus him being in a happy place. :-) God bless! Thats what Open up your eyes means to me.
This songs sounds so much like me and my boyfriend because he is trying to get me to open up, but i never seem to because of the stuff in my past. this isnt a really good beat of the song, but the lyrics make it cool.

Yo what up this is Big-T. this song is about a person who had everything in their life goin wrong and no matter what, that person couldn't find the meaning of life when it was there all along. In the chorus you see the person's friend helping in any way he can, but the choice still belongs to that person. and just whateva is in your past is just that. I don't think it's directed to one person really...more like to the people whos lives are all hell, but the song's telling the people who say their life is horrible, that really, life is beautiful, and that they should look at the beautiful side of it.
I always thought this song was about a girl wanting an abortion or something to that extent..

I don't think it literally means a child is living deep inside someone, I think it means that if you can find the child in yourself you can find happiness. I could be wrong though. Anyways, this is like, my favorite song on this CD. I love the beat, and I can definatly relate to the song. I'm still looking for the meaning of life. I guess I'll just sit back and enjoy the ride the best I can until something good happens to me.
