this is definitely one of my favorite matchbox songs. the lyrics are awesome and really reflect something that i think a lot of ppl feel - - living a life that isn't necessarily fulfilling, but not doing anything about it because, well, you're used to it, and because sometimes it's a lot easier to fake what's normal than to face the reality of something different... but then reaching a point where you just can't take the bullshit anymore.

i think its about a guy having to pretend to be someone else so that he will be accepted by someone, probably a girlfriend, but cant take it anymore and is going to make an effort to stop and figure out who he really is... or something
it is blatenty about being in a relationship withsome one who you really love but you know that they sont love you back but you love them too much to break it off. youlll be with them coz u love em
this song just totally affected me, the first time i heard it, i mean damn. and then i listened to it when i was having an obsession with a guy, and it was like the only song i Would listen to, and the line "just like me, you got needs, and their only a whisper away" is so awesome.
I just heard this song a day or two ago..and already its at the top of my list...its meaning its hard and hits at home..a must have and must download...
this is just my opinion but i think its about a guy who's in a relationship with a girl & they aren't happy and they know it...but they fake it because they don't want to hurt the other person..."don't think i can fake another hollow smile" and "i don't wanna be the one who turns this whole thing over"...and then he finally decideds that he can't pretend to be happy any more and ends it despite his caring for the other person
