Electric Blue Lyrics
If a boy had a chance
a chance with someone like you
are you gonna break his heart?
let him cry for the moon?
are you hiding somewhere behind those eyes?
I just freeze
everytime you see through me
and it\'s all over you
electric blue
on my knees
help me, baby
tell me, what can I do?
electric blue
Oh, I had a dream
for a moment I believed it was true
oh, I\'d have given anything
just to be there with you
are you hiding
somewhere behind those eyes?
I just freeze
everytime you see through me
and it\'s all over you
electric blue
in too deep
standing here waiting
as I\'m breaking into
electric blue
I can see
can see that it may be just a vision for you
electric blue
on my knees
help me, baby
tell me what can I do?
electric blue
a chance with someone like you
are you gonna break his heart?
let him cry for the moon?
are you hiding somewhere behind those eyes?
everytime you see through me
and it\'s all over you
electric blue
on my knees
help me, baby
tell me, what can I do?

everytime you see through me
and it\'s all over you

standing here waiting
as I\'m breaking into
electric blue
I can see

Remember the "Electric Blue "Porn vids???
This is hommage to them.
;)
I always thought this song was about a guy who is infatuated with a girl who, as he describes, has 'electric blue' eyes... when he says 'are you hiding somewhere behind those eyes?' Im assuming its her electric blue eyes hes singing about.. hes captivated by electric blue eyes.
ha ha it's tempting to believe this track is a homage to a porn series, but it seems to be about a guy who is infatuated with a really fine lady. wicked track though!
@rockman_exe Well ... If this is song is merely about 1980's Playboy TV Series "Electric Blue" then I gotta admit I admire the group sincerity? Other than this assumption I suspect this song is also about Its association with electricity means electric blue communicates energy, action and excitement .... and I'll leave it at that. Anyway great song!

i think the song is fairly straightforward in itself- It's about a guy being completely vulnerable to this girl who has stolen his heart and he can feel feel himself falling for her but when he says "As I'm breaking in two" suggests he's beginning to believe that she might not metaphorically catch him as he falls further and further infatuated with her- risking a broken heart
this is the first song i remember hearing, i think i must have been about 8
The guy is in love with a woman, but doesn't know if she even sees him, as a love interest, or maybe at all. When she does see him, he "freezes", doesn't know what the hell to do. She may exist behind "her eyes", but he can't get past her beauty to actually talk to her and break the ice.
awesome song i love icehouse and this is one of their greats about a mancompletely infatuated with a woman
It's a love song to an unobtainable woman. Not unobtainable because of looks or status but because he has never actually met her and likely never will. The song is sung from the perspective of a teenager with a crush on a celebrity.
A song to a porn star ... she "sees through him" from the screen ... He freezes ... because of his infatuation of her womanhood ... also looking to meet that type of girl in real life ... although it is only a dream that he has ... She is "Electric Blue" ...
Have you ever been in a bar or on a train or just walking down the street and saw someone whose looks blew you away and it was love at first sight? But you never spoke to them or got their name so when you're telling your friends about them you refer to them by a physical feature or item of clothing. "Green shirt" this, "Red hair" that, "Cowboy boots" was cute, etc. That's who "Electric Blue" is. A woman in a bar wearing an electric shade of blue. And the singer is head over heels in love with this stranger.
