when i first heard this song i thought it was about finding love in another person. however, more recently whenever i hear this song, i always feel like he is singing about loving one's self and being secure with that love. maybe i'm just applying the song to my current situation?
@JustGreenEnvy Agreed - especially after having been through relationships and recognizing that, no matter how much someone else loves us, it's always going to be less secure than the love we can give ourselves - we can only trust ourselves, perhaps? That said, when you come to realize we are all one, love becomes much bigger than some expectation we have of how someone else should treat us.

Yeah I can understand how you would say that... but I think it was meant about a significant other - no deeper meanings although the "I wont let sorrow hurt me" line does kinda sound like something that youre saying... but an extremely adorable song about love and how great it feels to have someone who loves and depends on you
To me, in reading the lyrics its a lot more personal of a song. There comes a number of times in everyone's life where they have to get comfortable with themselves and accept themselves fully... and this song celebrates that moment, if you are lucky enough to appreciate, love and fully embrace who you are.
The lyrics all refer to "I" mostly, some toward "you", yet there are no mentions of "we" which indicates to me that there is one, and it always comes back to how he has all this strength, all this does truly come from within <3
This song is the ultimate celebratory song of finding love at last. This is the song people should sing at the top of thier lungs when they find love. Well, at least I did....blushes heh heh heh
I think it's about having somebody who you know will be there for the rest of your life. And with them you are yourself completely.
