i think that this is about a guy who was writing very emotional heartfelt songs for a girl and when he showed them to her she didnt really care and now he decided that she isnt worth it if shes going to be soo insensitive and that he has put up with too much crap and now he will beat the thoughts of her to death or in other words forget about her
maybe just about a guy who was writing emotional heartfelt songs about a girl, but then she broke up with him, so now he's trying to get over her.
this is sop easy...hell this song was meant for me...this dude has liked a girl or dated her and he had alot of feelings so no matter what,he'd wait for her to come around.she never really liked him and and hes put his feelings for her on paper,not by mouth.he has now grown tired of feeling sorry for himself and realizing she'll never come around and its time to remove her from his lifes portrait.end.

Hah, I wouldn't toss Dashboard Confessional in the same boat as a band called "Glasseater." I mean come on. Eating glass is pretty much the manliest thing you could do. And Dashboard is so..... girly.
Anyways, I'm pretty sure this song relates to how the singer liked a girl. Maybe she liked him back. Maybe not. If she did, then eventually she stopped trying. She got numb and stopped caring, even though he didn't. And he's tired of trying to get her to come around and be cool when she won't. Too much time wasted on her. Gotta move on and f*ck a gaggle of whores to get over her :)
