One More Hour Lyrics
in one more hour
i will be gone
in one more hour
i'll leave this room
the dress you wore
the pretty shoes
are things i left
behind for you
oh, you've got the darkest eyes
I needed it
(i know it's so hard for you to let it go
i know it's so hard for you to
say goodbye
i know you need a little more time)
if you could talk
what would you say
for you thing were
just night and day
take off the dress
take off the face
i'll hold you close
before i leave
don't say another word
about the other girl
i will be gone
in one more hour
i'll leave this room
the dress you wore
the pretty shoes
are things i left
behind for you
(i know it's so hard for you to let it go
i know it's so hard for you to
say goodbye
i know you need a little more time)
what would you say
for you thing were
just night and day
take off the dress
take off the face
i'll hold you close
before i leave
about the other girl

Both carrie and corin have stated that, yes this song was written about their break-up, and they both identify as bisexual. Janet and corin are both married to some fine dudes, and carrie is off exploring the world and its peeps through the beautiful social commentary that is Porlandia! But for all of us who just want to harmlessly ship those girls... I think they are musical soulmates. S-K is the most beautiful love child I ever did see. I think we've been given more than we could ever ask for from those girls!
Yeah it reminds me of Corin and Carrie relationship Corin is bisexual Carrie is lesbian Janet is straight
<3 this song was written by corin about carrie. about their breakup. sad. thats all i know. but i think only carrie is gay. corin must be bisexual. and janet is either bi or straight. so yeah... \m/
i heard somewhere that this is about corin and carrie's breakup and that corin cheated on her, but i don't know how true that is... it could just be speculation based on this song. "don't say another word about the other girl..."
Wow, I had no idea Corrin and Carrie were an item, let alone this song was about their relationship. That adds a whole other layer.
I read that this was the last song they played in concert, in Portland a couple weeks ago. That seems to back up the claim that it's a break-up song between the girls. The queens of indie ROCK will be sorely missed....

this song is definitely about hawaii. a luau perhaps.
just kidding, corin said in an interview this was about her and carrie's breakup, so that settles it. my favorite song ever.
Bah! Why has NO ONE commented on this song? Is everyone blind, or have they just not come across this wonderful song yet? Meh. I don't exactly know what this song's about, but I'm willing to have a guess. Seems to me that the act of infidelity are taking place, making through homosexual relationships. I wouldn't rule it out, considering the girls from Sleater-Kinney are all gay... not that there's anything wrong with that =D.
Not all the sleater-kinney girls are gay. I don't think Janet is. She's married isn't she? And I think Carrie is bisexual as well.
@crystalblur Actually noone in Sleater-Kinney is gay. Corin and Carrie are both bi and Janet is straight.
