this song rocks
This so is fucking amazing. Damn, his voice is awesome. yeah.. I like this song.
One of the lesser wumpscut songs in my opinion. Anyhow the meaning is vague and hard to find on a close glance to me, but it seems to be about the Christian religion's fascist way of taking us "kicking and screaming". "you looked so beautiful" could be speaking of the Christian religion's 'forgiving' nature. How you can't resist how good it seems when you hear it in a pamphlet or read the bible. As we all know Christianity is the greatest fascist power ever to exist and will always carry us kicking and screaming.
@Silou1a I disagree with your opinion on CHristianity because that aint what I know lol but i agree with your interpretation of the song. Never thought of it that way but it fits. to bad its always a scapegoat for responsibility as opposed to the person or persons going wrong.

I think it doesn't have anything to do with Christianity. Rather, with someone lamenting the loss (death?) of a lover... It seems to me that this person is going through the depression phase of loss (Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression, Acceptance), and while the words "Christ" and "Fuck" appear joined, it could be interpreted as "Christ! Fuck!" -- random swears that I myself have used in this very context.
Of course, I could be talking out of my ass.
Hm this is just a theory with this song, not really saying it's the only meaning it could have.
In the beginning he's talking about the shadow of the setting sun. Perhaps that implies a surrounding 'darkness' and a fading light with someone he loved or maybe a fading light around two people. In that darkness something looked so beautiful, that beautiful thing being christianity. He couldnt resist it's tender kiss, meaning christianity promised a lot to him in his time of darkness. As for him saying 'you had your time to live, you had so much to give, christfuck" could be him losing his faith, saying it had its chance to give what it promised, but failed and now he damns it. So then he talks about getting 'us' through this, meaning he will get them through the dark times. Instead of relying on faith. As for the voice clip in this song, maybe she is resisting, and in the end she will thank him when everything is better, since the light in his actions are surrounded by the darkness. Well that sums it up.. This is really just something I was thinking about, more to keep myself entertained, thought I'd share it.
hi sangie, please see my commentary on what these lyrics of this song mean above. you are right about the darkness, but what it was that looked so beautiful was actually the lure of satan, and satan's beauty.

I think Sangie has a good idea, but here is what I think. I think its about rape. I believe that the women he is talking about is his former lover because the tender kiss and warm caress would be the little things she did when they were together that he remembers. He is looking at her in the shadows because his actions are dark and evil. I think he then begins saying "You had your time to live" meaning her life was with him and she left that life behind. "You had so much to give", meaning she was giving him so much happiness and he was in love and then she took it away. the "Christfuck" refers to the biblical characters like the virgin mary for example, or anyone in the bible that was still "virgin" after having sex with Christ. This might mean that she isn't asking for this to happen to her, and he is somewhat invisible, no one knows what he is doing to her, cept her. Then he begins saying "I will bring us through this" like I will continue what he had, the carrying part is when he kidnaps her and in the end, he says, she will thank him for giving back to her what they had before. In the whisper part he says "You had your time to live" again and then I think he says "You will love me" or "I will make you love me" and her moan is to show you further what is happening at this time, then he starts screaming "cry" at her because he wants her to feel the same pain that she caused him, he wants her to know that the only life she has is with him.
This is just a thought, I could be wrong.
You sound spot on.

if you take the beginning of this song into account, this song is NOT about rape.
it's about satan.
since ancient times, the "setting" of the sun represents the time in which darkness takes over. the setting of the sun may also represent the death of christ in the historical sense.
in this song, the narrator is talking about seeing the presence of satan, perhaps when christ died, or was essentially fcked, and how beautiful satan looked WHEN christ died.
he could not resist the beauty of satan, nor the "tender kiss" (of judas--this is all biblical at this point).
"you had so much to give/you had your time to live" all refers to christ's role in society.
"i will bring us through this" and "in the end you will thank me" all refer to christ's current role in society, but the narrator is poking fun at this.
this song is genius on so many levels...you have to know a lot about the bible, symbolism, and a few other things to figure it out.

great song!
great song!
ok the line "you had so much to give" is "you had to much to give" and its "christ" not "cry". Other than that the lyrics look good
