This is escapist pop at it's best. The theory is that you have this happy memory to conjour up and revert back to when you are feeling emotionally stressed.
"All my life I've lived to taste/Someone else's flavours on my tongue." Huh. I wonder what that could possibly be in reference to. It certainly doesn't hurt that "Cherry" appeared previously in "Cherry Came Too," which also happens to be about oral sex.
Not to mention 'Down on everyone/ A tv sky'. There's a theme developing...
The phrase "TV sky" has always reminded me of the opening line of Neuromancer: "The sky over the port was the color of television, tuned to a dead channel."
