Every Day Is Halloween Lyrics
And other things that go bump in the night
Cos to me everyday is halloween
I have given up hiding and started to fight
I have started to fight
All the people seem to stop and stare
They say 'why are you dressed like it's halloween?
You look so absurd, you look so obscene!'
Why should I take the abuse that's served?
Why can't they see they're just like me
It's the same, it's the same in the whole wide world
That they're dealing with someone who is over the brink
And I dress this way just to keep them at bay
Cos halloween is everyday
It's everyday
Why should I take the abuse that's served?
Why can't they see they're just like me
It's the same, it's the same in the whole wide world
Why should i take the abuse that's served?
Why can't they see they're just like me
I'm not the one that's so absurd
Why fight it?
Hurt feelings
Best to stop feeling hurt
From denials, reprisals
It's the same it's the same in the whole wide world
Famous song, the meaning is pretty obvious-person who gets stared at for being and dressing like a freak. I'm a freak and i'm proud of it
FUCK CONFORMITY!
This song rocks.

I think it's track 2 on the compilation Early Trax from 2004.
Coolest Ministry song ever. Maybe.

story of my life.
I have a mix of this song that is ten minutes and 31 seconds long that I got from my brother, but I don't know where it is from (the mix, that is). If anyone knows what I'm talking about, please tell me.
ahhh "it's the same in the whole wide world" makes me cringe. It's not a sarcastic poke at goths, that's retarded. Goths don't say shit like "we're all the same" they say "don't hate me because I'm different, you just don't understand" etc.
80's synth pop is kind of a guilty pleasure for me...
My interpretation is that this song is about the different faces we put on depending on the situations we find ourselves in and the people we're surrounded with. For instance, a person may put on a different face when talking with their parents as opposed to their husband or wife. Similarly, this same person would go on to wear a different face, or mask if you will, whenever they are at work surrounded with their co-workers. I think the singer is trying to say that the people around him are self-righteous and saying that he looks absurd when really they are all doing the exact same thing he is doing, everyday. Everyday they switch masks, making everyday like Halloween.
For me it's about points of view, like victim, judge, villiain, hero, superior, inferior, princess, etc.
