Time Of The Season Lyrics
It's the time of the season
When love runs high
And this time, give it to me easy
And let me try with pleasured hands
To take you in the sun to (promised lands)
To show you every one
It's the time of the season for loving
What's your name?
Who's your daddy?
(He rich) Is he rich like me?
Has he taken, any time (any time)
(To show) to show you what you need to live
Tell it to me slowly (tell me what)
I really want to know
It's the time of the season for loving
What's your name?
Who's your daddy?
(He rich) Is he rich like me?
Has he taken, any time (any time)
(To show) to show you what you need to live
Tell it to me slowly (tell me what)
I really want to know
It's the time of the season for loving
When love runs high
And this time, give it to me easy
And let me try with pleasured hands
To show you every one
It's the time of the season for loving
Who's your daddy?
(He rich) Is he rich like me?
Has he taken, any time (any time)
(To show) to show you what you need to live
I really want to know
It's the time of the season for loving
Who's your daddy?
(He rich) Is he rich like me?
Has he taken, any time (any time)
(To show) to show you what you need to live
I really want to know
It's the time of the season for loving

Think of the mating season. Spring right? So it's the season to make love. Not sex, but lovemaking.
free love. straightforward free love.
such a unique song. once youve heard it, you'll never forget it. the bass line, the organ solos, the smooth but groovy feel, the singers haunting voice (and the equally haunting backup singers) and, most important, the "ah"s. the whole song is very catchy without being annoying or pop-ish.
To me the song is not so innocent as people are suggesting, just about open free sex of the 60s. It's lyrics and overtones gives a sense of a domineering older male figure praying on a younger girl.
All the lyrics line up with a pimp 'opening the world up' to a young girl. There is an element of mind control in the lyrics.
Don't get me wrong, I deeply love the song, and am moved to hear points of view I've never considered before. It is real art.
@bubbagenius excellent explanation of the song... \r\nI have heard that song a million times but coincidentally I was looking at The Conjuring and it started playing and for some reason that was the first time I started listening to the words. So I went online to see if it\'s just me, or is that really what the song is saying... \r\nThe way that you explained it let\'s me know that\'s exactly what the song is saying... \r\nThank you so much for being bold and sharing...

This song purely makes me think of people getting high in the sixties. Incredible groove.
It's about free sex guys. Just, no strings attatched, no lasty names, free sex. It embodies the sixties sexual revolution.
One of the greatest songs ever written. Ever. Love the vocal arrangements, the groove, the keyboard solo. It's about as close to a perfect recording as you can get.
I could listen to this song on repeat forever. It makes me want to dance. I love it.
cant say i know what this means too much...just a guy falling in love with a girl maybe...pretty hard to describe...but its an amazing and beautiful sounding song.
i love the way this song sounds, the lead singer has such a haunting voice. i did a dance routine to this song actually and it was one of my favorites.
this is just a man, asking a woman for her love and showing her theres no better time than the present to let it bloom.
