Actually, I don't think that this is about a couple that's broken up, or even a case of unrequited love. Based on these lines:
"baby when you're gone - i realize i'm in love" "i hope you're coming back real soon -cuz i don't know what to do"
I got the picture that it was supposed to be about a couple that was in the newer stages of their relationship and one of them had to travel far away for an extended period of time. Then it was that time apart that makes the singer realize how he/she really feels. That was my interpretation anyway.

I think this is about that craziness that you feel for someone you have been seeing that can't satisfied, no matter what you try to fill your time with. You realise that the feelings you have aren't just some some crush.
The images of how time passes slowly, how you lose your appetite and pace around the house like a lost soul all chime with me.
It's not a sad song, but a really upbeat song about longing for someone you're falling for.
I love this song! It proves that Bryan Adams can constantly keep up with musical styles and still be a great musician all these years later. There was always life after 'Everything I Do (I Do It For You)'! I really like this song. And i think it's about a relationship which has sort of fallen apart and it describes how much it hurts and feels wrong. Mel C's voice compliments this track really well and they sound good together. It's a great song.
Amazing son, you can listen to this over and over and never get bored with it. Loads of people can relate to this song. When you've been out with friends (or at school/college/work) and you've just got back you realise how much you like one of them.
this song describes what being in love is like and mayb the love is not reciprocated. your in your house and you can't stop thinking of that person and it's driving you mad. everything you look at or think or reminds you of that person. sleepness nights seem endless and yes it's so true, every song on the radio reminds you of them. you are powerless because of this emotion

Brill Song! Although I'm not a Mel C fan, I think her and Bryan sound amazing together! It could be related to anything to do with love really- being in love, just splitting up with an ex or the harshness of unrequited love.. that's why it's so great.
