Anything More Lyrics
Though my body gets tired
My mind does it no favors at all
And there's so little time
To do something
Something, anything more
And there's no use in crying
About the damage that you've done inside
There's so little time
To do something
Something, anything more
And your eyes say it all
Just like the way they did before
There's so little time
So do something
Something, anything more
Don't cry baby, cry
As long as you and I
Do more than just survive
Don't cry, have a real good life
And you know the things we do
Mean more to me than you
But the rain just came right through
Don't cry, we'll have a real good life
Though my body gets old
My mind does it no favors at all
There's so little time
To do something
Something, anything more
And there's no use in crying
About the damage that you've done inside
There's so little time
To do something
Something, anything more
And your eyes say it all
Just like the way they did before
There's so little time
So do something
Something, anything more
There's no use in crying
There's no use in crying
There's no use in crying
There's no use in crying
There's no use in crying
There's no use in crying
My mind does it no favors at all

About the damage that you've done inside
To do something

Just like the way they did before
So do something

The orchestra in these songs are just beautiful im glad they actually have an orchestra in their songs and they can appreciate that type of music instead of using them as drowned out background music and also cuz i play the violin :)
I love the way Stop Your Crying builds up into this song sort of, it makes this even more beautiful
Mind over matter; you are how you feel. A surprisingly optimistic song considering how sad it actually sounds. It acknowledges that no matter how bad you think things are, that has absolutely nothing to do with what you can let yourself think in any future moment, including the very next moment of your life.
Sounds like a bit of an existential crisis to me. Do more than just survive? Then again, I think Jason's life in general is an existential crisis.
Funny, I'm intriuged by CNova's take. It makes perfect sense - a really positive interpretation of it. I'd always taken it the other way though - of feeling worn down by despair, tired and exhausted, of wanting, physically, to stop, to rest, to wait it out, but your mind giving your no rest, that inescapable sunken feeling, and despite it all having to keep going, 'cause just curling up simply isn't an option.
