To A Husband At War Lyrics
Things are here
And you're over there
And inbetween land, sea everything
I hope you're warm
And I hope you think of me
In Petersburg the way things used to be
Yesterday, a telegraph said that you had died
But I knew, but I know that it was a lie
I tried to laugh
But I went back to my room and cried
I mean our room
I went back to our room and cried
Retreat, and come back home.
And you're over there
And inbetween land, sea everything
I hope you're warm
And I hope you think of me
In Petersburg the way things used to be
Yesterday, a telegraph said that you had died
But I knew, but I know that it was a lie
I tried to laugh
But I went back to my room and cried
I mean our room
I went back to our room and cried

ah geez this is such an amazing song . . . love it sooo much
I love this song. My ex (:o( ) friend made me download it once, and I fell in love. It means so god damn much because it was taken (the entire song) from a letter back from the civil war. the letter was from a woman writing to her "husband at war" and i hate myself found it and made it a song. i love it, and i love them.
how ever the line "in between let's see everything" it's really
"in between land, sea, everything"
