Sing for your tears
a song of the hatred
No one can hear
'cause your life is forgotten
I want to give my life to you
but my will is tied with puppet strings
I am fighting and screaming alone
inside this empty room
CHORUS:
They let you down, threw you in the rain
They let you down, sent you away
The night is dark when you're alone
and sometimes it can be so cruel
The rain keeps falling on me so coldly
'cause your wishes didn't come true
VERSE 3:
Nothing seems real anymore
as I dive into the sea of lies
I don't understand this sorrow
that keeps me sane
REPEAT CHORUS
Without a name
The let you down
REPEAT VERSE 3
a song of the hatred
No one can hear
'cause your life is forgotten
I want to give my life to you
but my will is tied with puppet strings
I am fighting and screaming alone
inside this empty room
They let you down, threw you in the rain
They let you down, sent you away
and sometimes it can be so cruel
The rain keeps falling on me so coldly
'cause your wishes didn't come true
Nothing seems real anymore
as I dive into the sea of lies
I don't understand this sorrow
that keeps me sane
The let you down

It's a downright beautiful song. I especially love the vocals on the very first lines. Funny thing, Headbang666, the last time I cried I was listening to this song........
As for what it means, well, even if Ensiferum's lyrics are a little confusing at times, I think the music is pretty straightforward. This song conveys a certain emotion or set of emotions, the same set of emotions I see in John Keat's works
The strange thing is, this song made me cry once. Just listening to the line, "Without a name, they let you done," reminded me of something that had happened for a period of many years and was starting up again and I sobbed. Probably the first time I cried in about... hmm... a year? I don't cry very often. Nonetheless, an amazing song that I truly love.
