Are You Still Having Fun?

To me this is about his sister, and the way the 'party' lifestyle took over and she 'lost her reason'. She was not happy, but (As per the human condition) she sought the happiness that we all remember from our youth. ("happiness would go like a lost emotion")

She went looking for it through partying, drug taking and the pursuit of fun (The temporary solution). It did not work, when she came down the unhappiness/depression call it what you will kicked in ("Are you happy today?")

However, the only solution to this was to go out again to get that temporary dose of what seemed like happiness (Feeling low you will always need it)

However, while she does not see the solution is the cause, and the damage that this is causing (You don't know what is it you've done, Just to show that you're having fun) - Eagle Eye Does.. He wants to help, and wants to show her what actual, genuine happiness if (I can set you straight if you let me stay I hope I'm not too late No you won't regret it I can show you the way And make you happy today)

I interpret this songs as someone who's screwing their life up with drugs and stuff and they know they've screwed everything up but they won't admit it. I don't know if that's right or now, it's just the way I see it.

this is such a powerful song. and yeh it is about drugs and the whole party lifestyle. the person in the song thought he would find happiness through constant "fun" but now its screwed up his life. hes miserable at the cost of his "fun"- the song constantly questions and suggests that this trade-off isnt worth it: "are you still having fun?" extremely good song! LOVE IT
