Unsung Lyrics

If only I could get into the corner of your head,
Where things finally match and meet the standards that you set.
Oh how I wish I was the treasure that you were looking for,
And then I would feel better if only I could find the door.

Well I am crying, you aren't trying, and I am melting away.
I wait for the words on the tip of your tongue.
I'm only as good as the last one.
Well you decide and I abide 'cause my song goes unsung.

Yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah

Things are going crazy and I'm not sure who to blame.
Everything is changing and I do not feel the same.
I'm slipping through the cracks of floors I thought that were strong.
I'm trying to find a place where can feel like I belong.

Well I am crying, you aren't trying, and I am melting away.
I wait for the words on the tip of your tongue.
I'm only as good as the last one.
Well you decide and I abide 'cause my song goes unsung.

Yeah, yeah as my song goes unsung
Yeah, yeah, yeah

If I could be the lesson that you learn, you learn
If only I could be the last one that love burns, it burns
If only I could be the lesson that you learn, you learn
If only I could be the last one that love burns, it burns

Yeah, yeah

If only I could get into the corner of your head,
Where things finally match and meet the standards that you set.
Oh how I wish I was the treasure that you were looking for,
And then I would feel better if only I could find the door.

Well I am crying, you aren't trying, and I am melting away. (Yeah, yeah )
I wait for the words on the tip of your tongue.
I'm only as good as the last one.
Well you decide and I abide 'cause my song goes unsung.
Well you decide and I abide 'cause my song goes unsung.

Yeah, yeah as my song goes unsung
Yeah, yeah as my song goes unsung
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

I love this song, especially the ending! I think the song is about keeping your feelings in. She wants to tell him something but she waits for the words on the tip of his tounge and they don't come out! Like "I love you" or something and her song goes 'unsung' because he never said those words to her. she can't sing the song if nothing happened and it's not coming from her heart.

This song is about someone being hurt by another, but instead of standing up for herself, she holds it all in and waits for the other person to quit. It's something I can REALLY relate to, and it's one of my favorite songs on the album. =)

I think she's fallen in love with someone only to realize that she's not quite so great in his eyes, and "only as good as the last one". Now she's trying to figure what exactly he needs from her to "sparkle" and now she's keeping her thoughts inside because she's waiting for him to decide and tell her just how much she means to him.

I kinda always thought this was about a one-sided (not sure if thats the proper term for it, but read on to see what I mean) relationship, where the person she's singing about is the only person to get any say in anything. Like, she's just there and is his puppet or something. Heheh, I like this song. I especially like the "Love burns, it burns" thing, because in the song she's saying that I'm not really in love after all, he's just using me or something along those lines, and I never say anything to stop it. Like, her words are unspoken because she might be afraid of what to tell him because it might make him leave her or something--I don't know! ^^; All I know is, this is her best fast-paced song :D Well, no, I like a lot of her songs XD

It's about a girl who's in love, but she's always criticized by her boyfriend. And she's constantly trying to meet his standards and failing. She keeps trying to please him and be what he wants, but she realizes that she's losing her self. The cost is her identity.
