Sunshine On Leith Lyrics
My heart was broken, my heart was broken
Sorrow Sorrow Sorrow Sorrow
My heart was broken, my heart was broken
You saw it, You claimed it
You touched it, You saved it
My tears are drying, my tears are drying
Thankyou Thankyou Thankyou Thankyou
My tears are drying, my tears are drying
Your beauty and kindness
Made tears clear my blindness
While I'm worth my room on this earth
I will be with you
While the Chief, puts Sunshine On Leith
I'll thank him for his work
And your birth and my birth.
Sorrow Sorrow Sorrow Sorrow
My heart was broken, my heart was broken
You touched it, You saved it
Thankyou Thankyou Thankyou Thankyou
My tears are drying, my tears are drying
Made tears clear my blindness
While I'm worth my room on this earth
I will be with you
While the Chief, puts Sunshine On Leith
I'll thank him for his work
And your birth and my birth.

i think you missed the point but who cares. The chorus is beautifull & it is probably their best song
The unofficial anthem of Leith-based Hibernian FC. And what an anthem it is. "You"ll never walk alone"? Eat your heart out Celtic and Liverpool.
i think this song is about a sunny day in leith. leith is in edinburgh. it is quite nice. they used to have boats there.

I love this song. Such lovley memories :) I think its most likley not a very deep song, about someone who makes him (whichever one) happy, and that their thankful to 'the chief' ie God i presume, for their meeting and existance. And that so long as the sun shines on leith, he'll thank him. I do love this song, whatever it means
I love the part where they talk about how 'As long as I'm worth my room on this Earth, I will be with you'. So sweet and this song is so calming and lovely.
It's about someone finding God,,, not religious myself, but great song.
The simple things - the sunshine - can make life seem better
I don't know much but I know there was only one 'Chief' His generals and high ranks called him the 'Chief' He died in 1945
