Wild Horses Lyrics

Childhood living, so easy to do
Things that you wanted, I bought them for you
And graceless lady, you know who I am
You know I can't let you slide thru my hand

And wild horses couldn't drag me away

And I watched you suffer a dull aching pain
And now you've decided to show me the same

Wild horses couldn't drag me away
Wild wild wild horses, couldn't drag me away...

And I know I dreamt you
I seed all the lie (can't figure out what he says)
Well I have my freedom
But I don't have much time

Faith has been broken, tears must be cried
Lest you stop living, and after we die

Wild horses couldn't drag me away...
wild wild wild horses
We will ride them someday

WHEN DID THEY COVER THIS SONG?!?!

They covered it on Jay Leno, it is amazing and I do think it is better than the original because it has more emotion. (::hides from the lightning::)

i think the best cover of this song is by alicia keys and adam levigne. it makes much more sense when sung by two people.

Check out the Rolling Stones page for correct lyrics. This is my favorite version of the song, even though he forgets the line "No sweeping exits, or off stage lines". It reminds me, however bittersweetly, of my wife. Especially where he says I dreamed you, a sin and a VOW" Where originally it had been "a sin and a lie" Gavin's voice shows the depth of emotion in this song. Beautifully painful.
