is it just me or does it sound like zep was thinking of Yeats when he wrote this? Y has a poem called Those Dancing Days Are Gone, and in the same collection he wrote a line that goes 'love is like the lion's tooth'...
What an incredible song. Immediately get visuals of a warm summer night out with friends. It gives me that "invincible teenager" feeling. Man I wish I grew up in the 70's, I'm 15 and I HATE the shit on the radio today it's all industry bullshit! Where did all the talent go?
Reject the rest of the world, don't have problems. Dance, rebellion through hedonism. Perhaps a little more innocent, considering when it was written. I think this song was meant to capture the lazy relaxation of a warm summer night. It's a song that embodies catching fireflies in the evening light and sittin on the porch with a guitar to play. Life is good at the end of a hot summer day.
