it's so upbeat and sunny, but deep down so SAD. i wanna hold him and tell him she'll like him even without his car and maybe someday they'll get married.
the music for this is so cool...it's just a really fun song.
The first time I heard this song, I thought it was so sad! But when I told my brother that, he gave me a new way of looking at it...In a way, it's actually a really sweet song. I thought it was sad because the girl was using the boy for his car, but if the boy is happy it's not sad is it?! And I like that way of looking at it much better:)

I effing love the beginning of this song, the little ditty that starts it off. It totally makes your mood go FROOSH! WAY UP!
This song is amazing. I have tried holding the last note and almost suffocated. I dont think Stephin Merritt could hold that note either which is why he got Dudley Klute to sing the song on the album. I especially like the lines, "I know Professor Blumen makes you feel like a woman but when the wind is in your hair you laugh like a little girl " He's a bit self-depriciative though. I mean I'm sure he wasn't that ugly....
I love this song, just makes me so damn happy every single time I listen to it. Check out the KoC version of this aswell, it makes me even happier than the original.
