Jealousy Lyrics
At dead of night, when strangers roam
The streets in search of anyone who'll take them home
I lie alone, the clock strikes three
And anyone who wanted to could contact me
At dead of night, 'till break of day
Endless thoughts and questions keep me awake
It's much too late
Where've you been?
Who've you seen?
You didn't phone when you said you would!
Do you lie?
Do you try
To keep in touch? You know you could
I've tried to see your point of view
But could not hear or see
For jealousy
I never knew time passed so slow
I wish I'd never met you, or that I could bear to let you go
At dead of night, 'till break of day
Endless thoughts and questions keep me awake
It's much too late
Where've you been?
Who've you seen?
You didn't phone when you said you would!
Do you lie?
Do you try
To keep in touch? You know you could
I've tried to see your point of view
But could not hear or see
For jealousy
Where've you been?
Who've you seen?
You didn't phone when you said you would!
Do you lie?
Do you try
To keep in touch? You know you could
I've tried to see your point of view
But could not hear or see
For jealousy

I feel this song is about a self tormented lover whose jealousy & insecurity might or might not be justified . The singer sounds like a person with a very suspicious mind .Or maybe the emotions he feels are sorta exaggerated. nonetheles this is psbs one of the most intense songs . The lyrics are wonderful & very aptly discribes how it feels to be in tat position
This is by far, the saddest song written by the PSB. Its about the aftermath of a breakup and the feelings of sadness and loneliness that follow. In a nutshell, about missing a former lover. The jealousy part is when the protagonist thinks of the other people their ex-lover is now sleeping with and wishing they could still be together. I really think the verse "I wish I never met you or that I could bear to let you go" says it all.

nah, it's not about a couple that broke up. It's about a guy whose girlfriend is far away, and he feels insecure. Or maybe she's not far away, he just haven't heard from her for a few days.
As you can see, i feel identified.
