Wayne Static Of Static X - Not Meant For Me Lyrics
Verse 1
You think you're smart
You're not, it's plain to see
That you want me to fall off
It's killing me let's see
You've got the gall
Come take it all
Pre-Chorus
The jury is coming
Coming to tear me apart
All this bitching and moaning
Come on it's on
Chorus
I'm trapped in this world
Lonely and fading
Heartbroken and waiting
For you to come
We are stuck in this world
That's not meant for me
For me
Verse 2
So what you got
One more try
It seems to me
That you're not needed
Come on
It's killing me let's see
You got the gall
Come take it all
Pre-Chorus
Chorus
(break)
Chorus (2X)
You think you're smart
You're not, it's plain to see
That you want me to fall off
It's killing me let's see
You've got the gall
Come take it all
The jury is coming
Coming to tear me apart
All this bitching and moaning
Come on it's on
I'm trapped in this world
Lonely and fading
Heartbroken and waiting
For you to come
We are stuck in this world
That's not meant for me
For me
So what you got
One more try
It seems to me
That you're not needed
Come on
It's killing me let's see
You got the gall
Come take it all

When you feel s though your content with the world ..Always give yourself at least one more reason to feel sorry for yourself.."To wallar in your own self pity is to fathom the depths of reason, Michael Hankins
It's an excellently written taunt. The song was preformed by Lestat at his concert where he knew other vampires were out to kill him. He's grown tired of the dark infinity that has become his existance. "You think you're smart, You're not, it's plain to see That you want me to fall off, It's killing me let's see You've got the gall, Come take it all "
Thats a taunt.
"I'm trapped in this world Lonely and fading Heartbroken and waiting For you to come"
To the vampires that have set to kill him and end his termoil.
"We are stuck in this world that's not meant for me." not meant for him, he needs more.
Mmmmm Wayne Static....tehe....KICK ASS movie(seen it 4 times) and I looooove the soundtrack!! I bought it before I even saw the movie :-p
To quote Lestat from the movie: "Come out, come out where-ever you are."
This song sort of goes hand in hand with the other song "Foresaken." He's grown tired of wandering and being alone. He fought for so long to forget that he was ever human, but he remembers and he longs to be a part of it again (the worldly part), even though the world is not meant for him anymore; due to the fact that he is a Vampire. I think this song is also a calling out to Akasha.
"I'm trapped in the world. Lonely and fading. Heartbroken and waiting, for you to come."
fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucccccccccccccccccckkkkkkkkkkkkkiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnngggggggggggggggggggg good song
Correction. This movie was an insult to the novels. However, the music was marvelous. I believe Lestat's music would sound very much like this. This song brilliantly captures Lestat's arrogant nature in his challenge to the other, weaker children of the night. I'm afraid I have to disagree with the idea of this song calling out Akasha. This song seems a direct challenge to provoke the other vampires. Lestat wins no matter what the outcome of such a confrontation, as he conveys through the song. I they destroy him, he gets his escape from this hell. Should he triumph, well, you can figure that out.
In case you missed what I wrote...I said it could also be a calling out to Akasha...not that I said this was what the whole song was about. The movie used this song as a calling out to the other vampires who wanted to destroy Lestat for speaking about them. Personally, the movie was ok for a movie, but the books are way better as I have stated in previous entries.
