This song is Matt Barlow's take on the original serial killer, Jack the Ripper. In the song it is "Johnny's" prostitute mother who plants the seed that makes him what he becomes.
Great song, and, if you know anything about psychology and/or serial killers, this song makes a lot of sense on how/why "Jack the Ripper" killed as many prostitutes as brutally as he did..
At first I was hoping it was about Spring heeled jack, but this is just as good :P Jack the ripper
