this song sounds, to me, like he was engaged in i dont know... premarital sex, i think, with somebody, and they realized it was wrong and decided to end it. It seems theres a choice That begin with a break Today knowing that never again Will i know you that way like maybe he made that decision, but she doesn't want to go along with it, so he's wondering if he's alone. what do you think?
I wouldnt go as far as saying the best accoustic song for me...but definatly a damn good song. At first, I thought it had to do with his girlfriend committing suicide. "sister confirms suspission" "note beside the bed" . But the more I heard it I do believe it is his lover leaving him and him having to part with his feelings for her. Great song, I like it when hard rock bands slow it down for a track.

To me, it sounds like his girlfriend had left him, and then came back. I suppose that's why I love it so much... It's kind of like what my boyfriend did to me... But anyways that line "So today, Know that never again will I know you that way" just made me break down and cry. (By the way, these lyrics are a little off, no da!) But anyways, this is one of my two favorite acoustic songs. The other is "Silence" ny Blindside. ^_^

Probly not what it's supposed to mean.. but to me it sounds like he's talking about a relationship that kinda fizzles out, and you meet someone else and you're not sure what to do? Or maybe that's just what I was going through when I heard this song... hmmm...
wow, nothing else to say except Chevelle is awesome no matter what they do.... not exactly sure ont he meaning, i know it's about his lover leaving him and him trying to detatch himself from those lingering feeligns of her... whatever it is, great song.
man, when i met the lead singer i shouldve asked him what he thought about this song. i was freaking out so much that i couldnt even think straight though when i realized it was him, and we just talked about trying to find something for him to sign for me, haha. anyway, this song is so meaningful and it is their best in my opinion..who cares that its a different kind of chevelle, it shows so much emotion.
