This is a song about the loss of innocence and the intense desire to get that innocence back (like the innocence of a child), but one cannot turn back the clock and what is lost is sometimes lost forever in some cases.

lipssocoldtheyburn might have something...even if all the lyrics aren't the normal idea of romantic, they've all got sort of a heartfelt thing to them, like you really feel like he's speaking from his soul, even in a song like "Killing an Arab."

Anyway, this song means a lot to me. It was the first Cure song I remember hearing, and I thought my dad put it on just for me, and the "touch the sky one more time" part was about how I loved it when he picked me up and swung me around and stuff. Now sometimes he sings the hard "hold me, hold me up so high" part and I feel like crying.

Sorry about the sappy part. The bottom line is, this song is beautiful.

This song has one of the most beautiful melody lines ever. Similar to Breathe. Serene yet heartfelt.

I've always loved this song. It could be the innocence of a child, but then again it could be a love/relationship gone bad.

I agree that this song is about innocence. Maybe its about wanting to restart a relationship, pretend that the bad things that have befallen the two haven't happened yet "just one more time" Going back to the times before they'd had sex and just wishing that they could be young and innocent again. I don't think that's what he meant by the song, but that's how it makes me feel. It is a very beautiful song
