Street by street. Block by block. Taking it all back.
The youth immersed in poison - turn the tide counterattack.
Violence against violence, let the roundups begin.
A firestorm to purify the bane that society drowns in. No mercy, no
Exceptions, a declaration of total war.
The innocent's defense is the reason it's waged for.
Born addicted, beaten and
Neglected. Families torn apart, detroyed and abandoned.
Children sell their bodies, from their high they fall to drown.
Demons crazed by greed cut bystanders down.
A chemically tainted welfare generation.
Abslolute complete moral degeneration.
Born addicted, beaten and neglected. Families torn apart,
Detroyed and abandoned. Children sell their bodies, from their high
They fall to drown. Demons crazed by greed. Cut bystanders down.
Corrupt politicans, corrupt enforcement, drug lords and
Dealers, all must fall. The helpless are crying out.
We have risen to their call. A firestorm to purify.

General Comment"95% of Straight Edge music is some anemic on stage screaming about how he beat up some kid he saw eating a hamburger."

General CommentI'm a drunk, and I still know this song is badass.

"This song makes me want to go beat the shit out of all the drunk fucks out there."

Yeah, definitely. I mean, because you're certainly better than them, and your choice not to drink or smoke or do any drugs (two of which are very legal) gives you the right to "beat the shit" out of them... right?

General CommentI like Propagandhi's song about this song and Earth Crisis. It's called "Firestorm, My Ass":

heard a song and i counted out loud the two-steps, the goose-steps back. back from square one, from where we'd just begun, and then it rang a bell-but is this kristallnacht or what the fuck is your plan? would you care to expand? and i don't deny the choice, but I defy you as the voice of anything i've stood for in these past 9 years, i've conquered the nurturing and found that anything worth conquering is powered, built and backed by fear, not by fact. and having said that... meat is still murder. dairy is still rape. and i'm still as stupid as anyone, but i know my mistakes. i have recognized one form of oppression, now i recognize the rest. and life's too short to make another's shorter.

General CommentIsn't it funny how people talk down on stuff they don't understand fully? Especially with how it makes them look as a person, lol

    Anyway, great song, great band.

They way I see it (and like everyone else here there is a good chance I'm wrong with the way it was intended), the song is pointing out the corruptions of society and how people just keep within the status quo. It is telling people to stop following blind, wake up, and start doing something about it. As OhSo pointed out, it isn't speaking only to people who are edge, and it isn't saying to go beat the shit out of everyone (which goes against the core ideology of self-improvement in the first place. Just a side note, but I'm personally annoyed with the guys that go around playing the role of a straight edge missionary. Let people decide on their own!).

General Comment"Ha, Reversal Of Man is so much better than Earth Crisis, Suck it."
I didn't realize Earth Crisis played grindcore.

Why the fuck are all of the pop-emo songs getting so many comments and classics like Firestorm not getting any respect? Ridiculous. What an influential song, what an influential band. All of the metallic hardcore today is just emulating Earth Crisis.

General Commenti agree! if it wasnt for earth crisis, a lot of hardcore bands wouldnt even be around today! this band, with their lyrics and song order have single handedly set the standard for hardcore/metal-core as we now know it!
