Agreed, I love Alkaline Trio and the Cure. The original is great, but the start of the Alk3's Exploding Boy is awesome.

I first heard the Alkaline Trio version and loved it and i had no idea it was a cure cover until recently. i love the lyrics, but i can never find the cure version.
Supposedly, Robert and co. first recorded this song after they officially rejoined after the near-collapse after recording Pornography. The title is supposed to about the elation that Rob felt during this time of rediscovery of the band. I love the upbeat strumming--always puts me in a good mood when I hear it.
This song is so good to me. I have struggled with walking away from negative influences and to me this song has the hope, grace and strength that walking away from negativity requires.
I prefer the Alk3 version to the original.
But I do love The Cure.
