Heretic Lyrics
Heretic, burn at the stake
Witch, float like a log
Wine from the blade on the night, night of the full moon
Voices that call spirits in waiting
Sharing the drink of the bond
A broth of roots and charms
Spells under the twisted tree
Heretic, burn at the cross
Witch, float like a log
Flask over fire amongst cobwebs of cellars
Mixture that turns metal into gold
Bring life to the dying
Secret till the last words are told
Accused and convicted
For nothing I suffer your fear
Nailed to a burning cross
Heretic, heretic
From life to death
You've been good
As for the past
Time will tell
Witch, float like a log
Voices that call spirits in waiting
Sharing the drink of the bond
A broth of roots and charms
Spells under the twisted tree
Witch, float like a log
Mixture that turns metal into gold
Bring life to the dying
Secret till the last words are told
For nothing I suffer your fear
Nailed to a burning cross
Heretic, heretic
You've been good
As for the past
Time will tell

That's Chris with no doubt. actually he sounds great.
the song is about women being accused to be witches and been burnd at the stake in the past, i think... but there must be some undercovered meaning to this
Hey ShadowOfThePast (Which is incidently a chapter on LOTR am I right?), it says on the unofficial soundgarden site that Hiro wrote the lyrics for this song. Not that I doubt your initial statement
@hunter_benedict Correct. But Chris 100% sang this

I have a question for anyone willing to answer. Who actually sung this song? Was it Chris or was it Hiro? The reason why I ask is because the singing sounds screwed
Where the fuck have you gone? I only assumed it was Hiro singing because the singing sounds different to Chris Cornell and the lyrics were written by him
Flask over fire? I thought it was Flesh over fire...
That makes more sense to me, you know?
i dont think hiro sings because the voice on the song is different than in circle of power.
Hiro rocks, and truly too.
