It's about a fucking hot chick you retards. Obviously she's saying "You're such a delicate boy" from the girls point of view to the guy who likes her, and "You look just like a girl" is obviously the girl saying that to the guy who likes her and she doesn't like him because he looks like a girl or dresses like one or whatever.
The rest of the song is summing up how she fucked up her relationship with him.

I know it ain't true, but it sounds sooo fucking like she said "Push it, make the BEADS go harder". I would've still thought that if I hadn't have read the lyrics. It wouldn't surprise me if it was a conspiracy though and she did sing "Push it, make the BEADS go harder" because I read that she's a lesbian. She might be into lesbian action with pushing beads, etc. Fuck when you look at the lyrics from that point of view, the lyrics could be, not only about sex, but about lesbian sex, considering shirley manson is a lesbian and that she possibly sung "BEADS" as opposed to "BEATS". And now that vfobust mentions Pu-shit, it could obviously be about pu pushing, which is where the beads can relate to that. Think about it, it COULD be true. However, maybe I'm screwed in the head, it also reminds me of an over the top over the top lesbian video some of my mates watched once with that sort of thing in it |

BrazilianFan, I wish god were so kind to me. I'd sooo love to see Alice In Chains Live in Concert with Chris Cornell. My favourite band of all time with my favourite vocalist of all time. It'd be a dream. Anyway, it's a shame that poor old Layne passed away. RIP. And what the hell happened to Mike Starr. Mike, you should pick up the bass again, I reckon you're way better than Inez.
Anyway, awesome song, I'm lovin Jerry and Layne's combined vocals, so..... dynamic. And a great range of expansive acoustic melodies, and intricately arranged drumming techniques complimented by stable and tension building bass riff, played by who else but.........Mike Starr.
I especially enjoyed the unplugged version as I thought it captured the full power and enthusiasm of the band while playing their only show in 3 years. On that note, the MTV unplugged was enjoyable to listen to, despite in my opinion songs like Would, Angry Chair, Rooster and Sludge Factory would've been far more better left alone than made to sound acoustic. I reckon the acoustic sound rounded off the roaring edge present in the studio and other live versions and made them sound redundant. And finally, why were there no songs from facelift on the MTV Unplugged album? It is arguably their heaviest album (Although of course Dirt is just one of those albums that takes me to another place. Grand Stuff).
Once Again RIP Layne, it's a shame that we can no longer enjoy listening to your extremely entertaining, unique and sheer powerful vocal performances. You have been and will be missed greatly, by myself but more importantly all Alice In Chains.

There is nowhere in this song that says that this guy is singing about a girl. A clue that he is singing about a guy is the lines:

I don't see what is so amazing about this song. In my opinion I think Black Francis' singing is absolute crap....... well in comparison to anything off the surfer rosa album anyway. The lyrics in it are quite well written but the performance is poor, one of the worst pixies songs, well in my opinion anyway. |
