This song is about a kid whos parents can find time for everybody but him. He's looking back on his child hood and remembering, and he thinks that he should let it go but he can't because of all the anger his parents caused him.
This song really relates to how I feel because my parents split when I was little and now I've been tossed out of both my father's and mother's homes. I've felt abandoned and alone all my life but now my dad wants me to move back in like everythings okay. I'm trying to forgive him but he was never there in the first place so why should I trust him now? I just think that that's kinda how Aaron felt when he wrote this song.
