Pressure

This song is about one thing: pressure. kinda obvious. but it's about someone who has all these problems in their life and for them to be able to live another day or start living a better life, they need everything to be corrected or fine. They can't deal another night with the problems in their lives. They can't take it anymore that they are falling apart and they are afraid of showing their weakness to those they care about. they don't want to appear weak. To try and escape their problems they take medications or drugs. they try to run away from their problems. because of the drugs they aren't sleeping but the after effects are they can't stay awake while performing their daily activities. they compare the pressure to water or some sort of liquid in the mind. you really can see through murky water or blood and the pressure is a pun witht he pressure of life and the pressure you feel while diving deep into an ocean of water. But b/c the person is trying to maintain his normal life, he is there for everyone, but he won't totally be there b/c he's doing the drugs that "help" him escape his fears. his head hurts amybe from the servere intake of drugs or him beating his head or even a headache from thinking of all the issues he has. he's taking the drugs to escape but it isn't working. he's not completely left his fears/issues behind. b/c of the massive intake of the drugs they are affecting his body like any drug would. and he begins to die or slowly pass out and he waiting for another drug to get put into his body so he'll be able to "deal" with his issues.

i read somewhere once that this song is about the pressure aaron was in to finish break the cycle on time

Its about finishing the album on time, but thats what it means to Aaron, i never go with just what the song means to the writer because you'll never relate to the song(s) you'll be looking into the witers life!

i always figured this song was about all the troubles in your life so you do whatever you can to escape them, like drugs. i can relate to it in this way so well that it just isn't funny but i can relate to all of his songs.

Aaron Lewis writes some of the best music that I've ever had the experience of hearing... He's just amazing... Staind as a whole is just mesmorizing.

i dont mean to get technical, but the line "My chest is so tight I think I am going to die"... doesnt it sound more like "My chest is so tight. Am i going to die"? Could be just me. Awesome song...very depressing but very good, like all songs by Staind. Aaron Lewis is incredible.

i agree, i think it is, Am I going to die, cause when I have anxiety attacks, my chest gets like that and I feel like Im going to die but I never do so if I were gonna say I am foing to die, then Id be like ahhhh tonight Im gonna die, but when you say Am I going to die, its just like god damn this hurts like a bitch i feel as if i could die

anyways about the song, it obviously is about pressure, i know bands say the meanings like staind said theres at one site, but just because they made it to say one thing doesnt mean it doesnt say another you know
