Black Swan Lyrics
ride on, ride on
friends of the black swan
ride on, ride on
do you know where she's gone?
gumdrops and saturdays, did Eric call by the way?
he knew, he knew, and he knew where the pillow goes.
ride on, ride on, friends of the black swan
ride on, ride on you know where she's gone
buttercups and fishing flies the biggest thickest ever sky.
i know they know something
i know, ah!
ride on, ride on, friends of the black swan.
ride on, ride on you know where she's gone?
little green men do o.k.
it's the fairie's revenge they say,
and gumdrops and saturdays, did Eric call by the way?
ride on, ride on, ride on...
friends of the black swan
ride on, ride on
do you know where she's gone?
gumdrops and saturdays, did Eric call by the way?
he knew, he knew, and he knew where the pillow goes.
ride on, ride on you know where she's gone
buttercups and fishing flies the biggest thickest ever sky.
i know they know something
i know, ah!
ride on, ride on you know where she's gone?
it's the fairie's revenge they say,
and gumdrops and saturdays, did Eric call by the way?

I've always loved the lyrics to this song, and the melody is beautiful! I have this song on sheet music and I enjoy playing it on the piano! I just wish that it was available on cd!
I have it on the Pretty Good Year single Part 2. If you want it see if you can find that. if you really want it, email me robnmorris @ hotmail . com I\'ll send it ya
This song has always reminded me of her going to a place of letting go and feeling meloncholic about it. Saying farwell and thinking about Eric , having some space from him and wishing he would call, . I have always wondered if these charactors that she mentions are parts of herself or maybe experiances that she thinks of as charactors, experiancesthat she has had with Eric. I love this song sometimes I sing it in the car during quiet moments.

I'm just grateful how she makes it easy for us: translating philosophical concepts to the personal language of the heart. We're practically spoiled.
