Twilight Lyrics

I was staind with a roll,
in a day not my own.
And as you walked into my life,
you showed what was needed to be shown.
And i always knew what was right,
just didn't know that i might,
Peel away and choose to see was such
different sight.

And i will never see the sky...the same way.
and i will learn to say good-bye to yesterday
and i will never seize to fly if held down
and i will always reach too high...
cause i've seen...cause i've seen...
Twilight

Never cared
Never wanted
Never sought to see what flaunted
So on purpose
So in my face
Couldn't see beyond own place
And it was so easy not to behold what i could hold
But you showed me..
I could change whatever came within these shallow days.

And i will never see the sky...the same way.
and i will learn to say good-bye to yesterday
and i will never seize to fly if held down
and i will always reach too high...
cause i've seen...cause i've seen...

As the sun shines through
and pushes away
and pushes ahead
Fills the warmth of blue
and leaves a chill instead
and i didn't know that
I could be so blind to all that is so real
And as illusioned eyes i see
there is so much to be revealed.

And i will never see the sky...the same way.
and i will learn to say good-bye to yesterday
and i will never seize to fly if held down
and i will always reach too high...
cause i've seen...cause i've seen...

i think that shes saying that she used to believe everything was perfect and she believed in a kind of idealistic world but then this person walked into her life and "showed what needed to be shown" even though he kinda took away her perfect world she needed to know it "As the sun shines through and pushes away and pushes ahead Fills the warmth of blue and leaves a chill instead and i didn't know that I could be so blind to all that is so real And as illusioned eyes i see there is so much to be revealed." He left a "chill" meaning that it kind of makes her sad and upset that the world isnt perfect; its a sort of bittersweet song

that's a deep song... when I figure it all out, I'll put something new -Daniel

she's saying that her life was kinda low and not where she wanted it to be. she saw it from an angle that kinda made everything seem sad. but then this person comes into her life and makes her see things in a different perspective.. one that she likes. "and i will learn to say good-bye to yesterday" suggests that she maybe had a problem with dwelling in the past. it's basically a song about someone making her see life differently.

Man, this is a wonderful song. It represents to me everything that I used to be...

oh yah the definition of "twilight" means dim or diffused illumination...meaning she saw things from a different perspective and then this person showed her how things really are

i think the song means something different then you guys. I think the whole thing is this person changed her and at the time she thought it was what she wanted, but she came to realize everything he tried to make her believe was fake, and she didn't ultimately like the person she'd become. That's why she'll never see the sky the same way, because her life can never be the same. I think this song is about the loss of innocence and immaturity. I think it's about growing up. I dont' know. I think it's a very sad song, but also happy in the fact that she's proud of herself again and she's now the person she wanted to be. She's not faking it anymore

she may not be fakin it nemore, i agree there and it may be about a loss of innocence but as for the guy making her fake....i dont think so!

I absolutlely love this song..it really ends her album on a good note. Its so uplifting and then her voice changes when she sings twilight- like its a really horrible thing- i love this song!!

she's been used. but she hasn't been letting herself see it. Now she does. Everything's different

I think that this song explains how she used to think that her life was not hers to live… She felt that everyone else was in control. But then she met this person who taught her that she could shape her own future and she could “fly” as high as she wanted to (“you showed me I could change whatever came within these shallow days”). I think that she learned that mistakes should be left in the past, and that she is the most powerful person in her life.
