Violently Happy Lyrics
This small town hasn't got room
For my big feelings
'Cause i love you
Violently happy
But you're not here
Violently happy
Come calm me down
Before I get into trouble
Stand by the ocean
Make it roar at me
And I roar back.
'Cause I love you
Violently happy
But you're not here
Violently happy
Overemotional
Violently happy
I'll get into trouble
Real soon
If you don't get here
Baby.
'Cause I love you
Violently happy
I'm aiming too high
Violently happy
It will get me into trouble
Violently happy
I'm driving my car
Too fast
With ecstatic music on.
I'm getting too drunk
Violently happy
I'm daring people
To jump off roofs with me
Only you
Can clam me down
I'm aiming too high
Soothe me
Violently Happy is a great synonym for insanity which is very prevalent in the music video and, to a lesser extent, in the lyrics but shows up big in the rhythm of the song.
This is the best sort of love ever.
the best kind of love there is.
Finally!! A song to perfectly describe how I've been feeling since I met my love. So far we are from eachother, may we be together soon...
I think it's about being so euforic in love, that you don't notice the world around you. So you act irresponsibly, and hurt people accidently.
violently happy. A dubious feeling. An awkward one. Just the way i felt when i was starting to move in the direction of violental death of my violentally happy long-distance relationship. Was so freaking happy to feel love(d) but knew how it'd end before if begun, - he wasn't there and i.e. getting into trouble was inevitable. Didn't jump off roofs but wicked state of my mind & heart didn't suggest UNviolental existence. Not to mention exciting sex haha People! Long-distance romance never works as well as violental happiness.
NOT the best kind of love. Unless ure a masochist of course.........
Love is indeed a state of insanity.. at least for some people x)
"Only you can clam me down?"
heh.
The speaker is so happy because she is madly in love with her lover. But because he is absent, she begs him to come back lest she do crazy things.
