Pool party baby
It was a cool party
Cool pool party
La la la la
Pool party baby
It was a cool party
Cool pool party
La la la la

Popcorn, hot dog buns, and hamburger patties
All the food you need to feed the many hungry
Millions of people want in to my party
But it’s invite only
And you’re on the list baby

-Your pool rips!
I cleaned it yesterday
-Girls look cute!
In their swimming suits
-Holy Guacamole!
We’ve got chips!
So come on take a dip
‘Cause my pool rips

It was a pool party for the cool kids at my school
It was a pool party for the cool kids at my school
It’s so cool in my pool
It’s so cool in my pool
It’s so cool in my pool
It’s so cool in my pool
Yeah yeah yeah

Pool party baby
It was a cool party
Cool pool party
La la la la
Pool party baby

The ratio of girls to guys is five to one
There hasn’t been a party like this since 1981
Come to my party let the games begin
We’ve even got floaties if you can’t swim

-Your pool rips!
I cleaned it yesterday
-Girls look cute!
In their swimming suits
-Holy Guacamole!
We’ve got chips!
So come on take a dip
‘Cause my pool rips

It was a pool party for the cool kids at my school
It was a pool party for the cool kids at my school
It’s so cool in my pool
It’s so cool in my pool
It’s so cool in my pool
It’s so cool in my pool
Yeah yeah yeah

I love you girl, you know it’s true
To have a super party in my swimming pool
Jump on in and you will see
Just how fun a pool party can be
But don’t eat too much before you swim
‘Cause you might get a cramp under your chin
Someone’s screaming, that’s not cool
Who threw that Reggie Bar in the pool?
Ronnie, Sally, Bobby and Mike
It’s my pool party, we'll do what we like!

It was a pool party for the cool kids at my school
It was a pool party for the cool kids at my school
It’s so cool in my pool
It’s so cool in my pool
It’s so cool in my pool
It’s so cool in my pool
There’s no pool at my school
There’s no school in my pool
There’s no pool at my school
So it’s cool at my pool
Yeah yeah yeah

I'm going to have a pool party one day and just play this song the ENTIRE time. Except for dinner, when we'll eat pizza and listen to "Pizza Day." Yessir, that's my plan.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

No Surprises
Radiohead
Same ideas expressed in Fitter, Happier are expressed in this song. We're told to strive for some sort of ideal life, which includes getting a good job, being kind to everyone, finding a partner, getting married, having a couple kids, living in a quiet neighborhood in a nice big house, etc. But in Fitter, Happier the narrator(?) realizes that it's incredibly robotic to live this life. People are being used by those in power "like a pig in a cage on antibiotics"--being pacified with things like new phones and cool gadgets and houses while being sucked dry. On No Surprises, the narrator is realizing how this life is killing him slowly. In the video, his helmet is slowly filling up with water, drowning him. But he's so complacent with it. This is a good summary of the song. This boring, "perfect" life foisted upon us by some higher powers (not spiritual, but political, economic, etc. politicians and businessmen, perhaps) is not the way to live. But there is seemingly no way out but death. He'd rather die peacefully right now than live in this cage. While our lives are often shielded, we're in our own protective bubbles, or protective helmets like the one Thom wears, if we look a little harder we can see all the corruption, lies, manipulation, etc. that is going on in the world, often run by huge yet nearly invisible organizations, corporations, and 'leaders'. It's a very hopeless song because it reflects real life.
