Ahhh, I love this song! You can kinda tell the 'Bats know they're being a little mushy with this, so they make it a little over-the-top, kinda making fun of the REALLY mushy, like vomit-inducing love songs. You can hear their sarcasm in the line "cuz I'm a boy and you're a girl alright" and in the hint of... I dunno, attitude in their voices in the "aah aah"s.

I haven't seen the video clip, but when I heard this song, I broke out in fits of laughter. It's such a feel-good song, that IS of course about love, but it doesn't have to be mushy to get its point across. There should be more songs out there like this one, it makes you feel good.
