Brandon Lee Lyrics

What would there be
As the river of sadness turns into sea
Could there be
Another thousand stories like you and me
Wanted a heart
Wanted a soul
More than anything else in this world
But we´re all doomed
Our flesh in wounds

I would never give in

Just like the moon does
We´ll rise´n´shine´n´fall
Over you that I rise´n´shine´n´crawl
Victims aren´t we all

What would there be
Beyond the eyes of Brandon Lee
Could there be
A revenging angel left to bleed
Wanted the truth
Wanted the Faith
More than anything else in this world
But we´re all doomed
Body and soul marooned

I would never give in

Just like the moon does
We´ll rise´n´shine´n´fall
Over you that I rise´n´shine´n´crawl
Victims aren´t we all

Just like the moon does
We´ll rise´n´shine´n´fall
Over you that I rise´n´shine´n´crawl
Victims aren´t we all

lilmissspookiness, you are so wrong! Just listen to the old goth band who started the whole movement.. Sisters of Mercy, Bauhaus, Christian Death... they're not heavy at all.

I really love this song so much... just the fact that it has something to do with Brandon Lee (RIP), which I am a huge fan of. And The 69 Eyes are just amazing. This song was the first one i've heard of by them and this is the song that has gotten me into them. Bye!

That said, this band rule everything live. Saw them last week supporting Wednesday 13 and they rocked so hard.

actually sliverdew, the quote 'victims, arn't we all' is a line from the movie. A line that, in my opinon, sums up a lot of the movie

I love this song, as do I love The Crow :) I think it's a great song to sum up the film and its many elements. And the "Victims, aren't we all" line couldn't fit better. May I just ask, how is "Just like the moon does, we rise and shine and fall" funny or stupid? Seems very true to me.

I reckon this song is yet another Romeo and Juliet -themed song, but it's just using The Crow (which is, guess what, about dying lovers etc) and Brandon Lee as a metaphor. Plus this band IS kind of obsessed with The Crow.

Actually, according to Jyrki himself, the song isn't really about Brandon Lee. Here's a quote from an interview:

"the lyrics are not about Brandon Lee at all, it's about all of us, and how life throws us around"

And it's a great song. One of Jyrki's favorites too.
