i think it's about someone who has been hurt by someone they loved and they are trying to figure out how they are going to live with the aftermath of it. and they want to know if that person is satisfied with the hurt they've caused. at least that's what it means to me.

well i don't know about ALL the lyrics, but the parts about 'would i bite my toungue, and live with what you've done?' i think is saying hes questioning whether or not he should 'bite his toungue' (not say anything) about whatever it is she's done.. and ..'I've surrounded myself with all I have inside ' means that what hes feeling, he puts himself around...for example, if hes angry inside, hes around angry people or something? or if hes sad, hes around sad peoiple and things that are sad? just a guess, or maybe i read too much into everything

i think he just wants to let whoever the song is about know that they hurt him, and that they made a huge mistake, and if they would've given things time instead of jumping before they should've-- that things would still be perfect, and now they have to live with that mistake that may cost them the love of their life... hoohaaa!
