Confessions Lyrics
People worry
What are they worryin' about today?
People worry
What are they worryin' about today?
Seems like there's a good reason
to worry worry worry
Seem like there's a damn good reason
to worry worry worry
I'd sit around, I'd listen to your story
if I wasn't in such a
hurry hurry hurry
And I'm so lonely
I don't think I can take it anymore
and I'm so lonely
I just don't know what to do
I'm so lonely
feel like I'm gonna crawl away and die
I'm so lonely
feel like I'm gonna hack it apart
I'm so lonely
feel like I'm gonna crawl away and die
I'm so lonely
feel like I'm gonna hack it apart
gonna hack hack hack hack it apart [4 times]
Seem like there's a good reason to be
lonely lonely lonely
I gotta get something to somebody, something to somebody
make me feel less, less, less
lonely lonely lonely
I know I could do it, I know I could do it
if, if, if I just wasn't so
lonely lonely lonely
Have we got an army!
We'll teach you how to act like a man
Have we got an army!
man I mean to tell you we can fight
Have we got an army
and were gonna..... do it tonight
gonna do do do do it tonight
yeah we're gonna do do do do it tonight
alright, we're gonna do do do do it tonight
gonna do do do do it tonight
pay pay pay pay it tonight [4 times]
People worry

the bass line in this song is an amost perfect replica of the keyboard in "Ballad of a Thin Man" by Dod Dylan
wow, wtf did i call him Dod for?
fuckin Bob Dylan*
Amazing song. It always gets forgotten since it's right next to Add It Up.
Cheers Fabricsoftener,
I was listening it was buggin the heck out of me...what is that bass line??
Good pickup
This song seems more relevant now then when it was released. The first verse set especially.
wow, wtf did i call him Dod for?
fuckin Bob Dylan*
Yup, Ballad of a Thin Man, almost note for note. Has to be intentional - both songs have a lot of alienation and a very recognizable melody/rhythm. ı discovered the 2 within a month of each other when ı was in 10th grade, back in 1990. Instant recognition.
the whole idea seems to be a miserable person who does not want to hear other people's misery, being consumed with his own. Which is much more dramatic, and leads to vıolent imagery. This is why the femmes were a classic teen angst band.
