Junkies And Whores Lyrics

you sleep so still
and after everything
we claim to have forgiven

the no return
was 12 returns ago
and every one the last
this
time
i swear - did you really believe that?

i know these words
these sounds i recognise
and shapes all too familiar

the saddest thing;
a point to recognise;
all reasons and excuses;
well they are, i fear, as pathetic as are your own

i am
we are
sadly
too far
the line we had drawn before is thinning out
too far, gone
we need
no more
junkies and
whores
the line we had drawn before has disappeared
too
far
gone

you sleep
so still
you'll sleep through everything...

Oh Yes! You are SO right! Saw them live just the other day - the man actually played a Mandolin for the verses and Guitar for the rest - he had both strapped round his neck at the same time!!! Genius. I reckon its about one person in a relationship continually forgiving the other for somethings (cheating maybe, whatever). Can't figure out whether it is him who is doing the forgiving, or if it is him being forgiven, though. Any thoughts?

There seem to be a few different version to this, the one I have is 4:43 minutes long and I've had it a long time. I'm sad Easyworld disbanded.

Love this tune.
