"Bailey's Walk" as written by and Charles Thompson....
Bailey

He takes some steps
And bopped his head

He spins
(Turns around)
Takes some steps
Yeah

The method
Of stop, tap, spin
No talkin'
Bailey's walk

The method
Of stop, tap, spin
Of no talkin'
Bailey's walk

Bailey!
Bailey!

On parking lots
And big highways
Daily
It's crazy
Yeah

The method
Of stop, tap, spin
Of no talkin'
Bailey's walk

The method
Of stop, tap, spin

General CommentNice observation, muchthanmore. The vocal style definitely sounds like what Kurt would be singing a couple years later. It's certainly one of Black Francis's more powerful performances, and I think it might be my favorite "Doolittle" B-side, at least up there with "Into the White" and the "UK Surf Mix" of "Wave of Mutilation." Man, those singles had some great B-sides on them. Only Bob Dylan could throw away songs this good without hurting his albums. I've always wondered what "Doolittle" would've been like if if included these outtakes. It was a pretty short album, so there was certainly enough room for them. I wonder what compelled the band to toss them aside. In any case, it's the greatest album ever recorded (IMO, of course) with or without them.
