...which for some reason, is not included in the lyrics posted up. i don't understand why people post lyrics that skips parts.... especially when they're the best part of the song.

This song is perhaps more literal than alot of theirs, but i love it. I find it uplifting and i definitely relate to it, it has such strength to it. "Fine, tell them who you think you are. Fine, tell them fine is what you are."
Heh heh - It always makes me laugh though when tegan/sara (i don't know whose this one is) gets into the NO NO NONONONO..part. She does it so well, but i often wonder what compelled her to go so nuts in that part.

because they are lesbains this song is about them figuring out who they really are and being able to embrace it and be proud to be gay.
My favorite Tegan and Sara song!! This was one of the first songs I heard from them, before I even knew they were gay. This is such a strong solid song with a blatant and proud message... She sounds so proud and forthcoming of herself when she sings. And I feel proud to scream this song at the top of my lungs with her and tell everyone FINE IS WHAT I AM, I'M PROUD TO BE ME! (and proud to be gay, duh) This is my persoanl anthem!
